The Dorchester Project
A minature scale model of the small town where the artist (reluctantly) spent her adolecense. Meticulously building the model in situ over the course of many months meant a return - and reckoning - with place and past. The miniature town was photographed extensively before being lit on fire in the field of the local high school.
The destroyed model was subsequently encased in resin and exhibited in the gallery alongside a video loop of the burning.
